Service Description

The Path of Release and Deep Relaxation Yin Yoga is a calm, passive style of yoga and focuses on gently stretching the body by holding asanas (postures) for an extended period. These positions are usually performed sitting or lying down and held for 3 to 5 minutes. The overarching goal of Yin Yoga is release—the release of emotions, tension, and unconscious attachments stored in the body and mind. During the long holding of the asanas, the muscles, ligaments, and tendons sink deeply into the stretch, supported by the body's natural gravity. This allows the body to gently release tension and slip into a deeper state of relaxation. This passive stretch allows both the body and mind time to fully immerse themselves in the practice and achieve deep relaxation. Effects of Yin Yoga The effects of Yin Yoga go deep beneath the surface. The asanas stretch the muscles and affect the fascia, the thin layers of connective tissue that surround the muscles and are often responsible for pain when they stick together. By holding the poses for longer and relaxing the muscles, Yin Yoga has a particularly intense effect on the fascia tissue. It releases tension, relieves pain, and promotes general well-being. Furthermore, by stimulating the meridians in the superficial fascia, energetic blockages are removed, allowing life energy (prana) to flow freely again. My Yin Yoga Classes In my Yin Yoga classes, which I deliberately offer in small groups, I guide my participants through a complete Yin Yoga practice, including Pranayama breathing techniques, Yin Yoga asanas, meditation, and a concluding relaxation phase. The atmosphere is enhanced by the use of high-quality, pure fragrance essences, which further contribute to deep relaxation. Each class is dedicated to a specific theme and designed to bring the body into a state of deep rest, calm the mind, and restore energetic balance. This holistic practice offers a valuable opportunity to detach from everyday stress and harmonize body, mind, and soul.
